Working with CLAID

Our Mission

With CLAID, our core mission is to foster a community dedicated to addressing the crucial challenge of closing the loop between AI and data collection. With this in mind, we invite you to utilize CLAID in any of your projects. CLAID is fully open-source and available for both commercial and non-commercial use under the Apache2 license. If you incorporate our work, please remember to provide appropriate credit. For research purposes, kindly cite our publication.

Join Our Community

To join this collaborative endeavor, please reach out to us via email, and we will gladly welcome you to our Discord channel. This platform will keep you updated on open problems, and CLAID-related news, and enable you to engage with like-minded peers.

Collaborations

We welcome collaboration on projects that align with our research interests. Our focus areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Digital Biomarkers
  • (Mobile) machine learning applications in healthcare

Additionally, we see CLAID as a valuable tool for conducting validation studies with consumer-oriented devices that capture health-related data, compared to traditional standards of care (e.g., using smartwatches to measure heart rate). If this interests you, please do not hesitate to reach out either to Dr. Filipe Barata (fbarata@ethz.ch) or Patrick Langer (planger@ethz.ch).

Contributing to CLAID

We aim to foster a community centered around CLAID and warmly welcome contributions to our codebase. We review pull requests that meet our standards. Please adhere to our forthcoming contributing guidelines. For significant contributions, please reach out to us directly. We are happy to include you as an official contributor on the CLAID website.

Contributing packages

The easiest way for you to contribute to CLAID is to contribute your own package. Check out our tutorial series on creating CLAID packages for more information. If you would like to contribute a package, please reach out to Patrick Langer (planger@ethz.ch).

CLAID Support

We actively use CLAID in our research and projects and are expanding it with the features we require. As we strive to create a community, than rather serve individual feature requests, we actively encourage you to add new features to CLAID. Should you encounter any critical bugs, please report them through our GitHub issues. Based on the criticality, we may or may not investigate the bug further. We will assess the severity and decide on further investigation accordingly. Additionally, we are constantly updating our documentation and are available to provide guidance and answer questions as our schedule permits.
